I appreciate them getting my bike done same day, I came for a tire and they include a chain service.. my chain was to tight, still filthy and very dry. Why include a service if you cannot do it properly. It looks like a brand new chain when I do it myself! For what I paid I got raped I won’t come back

EDIT ————————————————
I read the owners response to my review and it’s unreasonable justification for every little thing I mentioned. AND being in customer service you want to make your customers happy and not once did Joe apologize for the way he treated me. Every negative review cycle tech gets they are so rude to their customers. Review still stands. Don’t bring your bike to this establishment, especially as a woman.

If I could give cycle tech -7 stars, I would. If you like your bike and don’t want to waste money, I suggest you go to a different shop.
First, I brought my bike in to have the clutch looked at and a few easy things fixed. When I brought my bike in, I was told I’d get a call the next day because they were going to look at it asap. 5 days went by and still no call. I called cycle tech just to get an update. Joe was so rude about it and seemed like me asking about my bike was an annoyance. 3 days later he called and said my bike was fixed. He told me the clutch was perfect and he was “ripping the bike down the street.” We proceeded to tell him there is definitely a clutch issue, and he was telling us that we were wrong. He finally agreed to look at the clutch again and charged me an additional $260 for “FURTHER INSPECTION.” We told them there was a clutch issue from the start, and they shouldn’t have charged me additional for that because a clutch issue was the main concern we needed to fix. Also, when we picked it up they had no idea if there was even any oil in it.
After knowing what had to be fixed with the clutch, he told me all the parts wouldn’t be there for a while, and then called the next day saying it was finished. So they lied about having the parts in stock.
The entire time cycle tech had my bike, I had to be the one initiating conversation with them because they did not communicate anything with me.
Keep in mind, I’m a female and there seemed to be no men there with the same issues. There was not a point in time where I felt I was being treated fairly. Everything I said, they tried to make it sound like I didn’t know what I was talking about.
After all of this, he wouldn’t allow me to test the work they did before I paid $851. Even though there is a sign behind the counter that says, “if we don’t fix your bike, you don’t pay.” I just wanted to make sure everything they said was done to my bike was actually done. Upon looking at the bike, we noticed they didn’t touch a few minor things that we had on the list and were charged for.
Overall, a VERY poor experience. I will never return to this shop again, and I will never recommend this shop to anyone.

I have spoken to customers that have gone here and they have not had the best experience with the owner. He doesn’t treat his customers with respect.

EDIT-----------------------
Cycle Tech contacted me to express their unrest with this review. The man I spoke with claimed to have performed the front alignment himself, and mentioned that the handlebars not matching the wheel direction was due to a bend in the handlebars. He expressed frustration that I claimed no work was done. I personally corrected my alignment yesterday, adjusting the front wheel by about 3 degrees. There is no apparent bend in the handle bars, and my bike now runs straight as an arrow with centered handlebars. Perhaps the technician mistook the alignment issue for a handlebar issue, and since I did not request a handlebar replacement, they left it alone. Perhaps he made minor corrections, but chocked up the remaining misalignment to bent handlebars. Not sure what happened there, but the front wheel was certainly still misaligned in the forks upon retrieval of the bike. In my opinion, the bike looked to be in the exact same condition upon retrieval as it was when initially picked up.

Regardless, I was contacted within 24 hours of posting the bad review, so its obvious they care about their reputation. Rating adjusted accordingly.
------------------------------

I asked for a simple repair, Cycle Tech agreed, charged me, and then didn't touch my bike.

After an oblivious driver pulled out in front of me at an intersection, I needed a repair estimate to cash out with my insurance. Cycle Tech picked up the bike and secured my padlock and chain before leaving, so at least one star for that. I am mechanically inclined, so I planned on performing all necessary repair work myself, I just needed Cycle Tech to tell my insurance how much to give me.

I asked Cycle Tech to ignore all repairs save for 1 - Re-aligning my front wheel in the forks, and 2 - putting air in the tires. I happily paid the moving fee, estimate fee, and $120/hour for the re-alignment job (If you're familiar, its simple bolt loosening and re-tightening).

Now that I have my bike back, it is apparent that no actual work was done. It seems as though they picked the bike up, marked which parts were scratched, and then left it in storage until I went to retrieve it. The front wheel is still misaligned, and the tire pressure was down to 24 PSI.

Thank you cycle tech. I could not be happier with your work on my 1977 Kawasaki. Your attention to detail and care in making it right went above and beyond! I got my rear brake back! It runs like a new bike! Thank you!
